A Note From Our Founder

“Casita Prado is a reflection of my journey as a designer, mother, and granddaughter. The name Prado comes from my grandmother, who migrated to the United States from Ecuador and taught me the resourcefulness and creativity that continue to shape how I design today. Our brand carries her name forward while creating something for the next generation.”

Our Story

My love for fashion started when I was young, sitting beside my grandmother as she repurposed old clothes into quilts, doll clothes, and new garments. She taught me more than how to sew. She showed me resourcefulness, intention, and how creativity can begin with what we already have.

Years later, working in corporate apparel design gave me valuable experience, but it also showed me what was missing. I wanted to create something that reflected the children and families I knew while approaching fashion with more intention.

That became Casita Prado, a sustainable kids streetwear brand where fashion, cultura, community, and creativity come together. We work with deadstock and reclaimed materials, collaborate with local creatives and production partners, and find new ways to carry what already exists forward.
